Na hiljade Francuza protestovalo je danas u Parizu zbog uvođenja specijalnih kovid propusnica. Ulicama se orilo „sloboda, sloboda“, a došlo je i do sukoba građana sa policijom koja je prethodno upotrebila suzavac.

Parlament je usvojio zakon koji zahteva posedovanje kovid propusnice u većini mesta od 9. avgusta, jer se broj zaraženih povećava i raste broj hospitalizacija.

Demonstranti su marširali Parizom, a francuska policija u punoj opremi za nerede pesnicama je gurala pojedine demonstrante i upotrebila suzavac protiv nekih od njih.
Oko 3.000 pripadnika snaga bezbednosti raspoređeno je u francuskoj prestonici tokom treće subote protesta. Policija je zauzela položaje duž Jelisejskih polja kako bi tu aveniju zaštitila od demonstranata.
U Parizu su već održana četiri protesta, a pripadnici policije sukobili su se sa demonstrantima tokom marša. Policajci su u nekoliko navrata koristili pesnice.

Jednu grupu demonstranata predvodila je liderka ultradesničarske stranke Nacionalno okupljanje Marin Lepen, dok je treću grupu, koja je marširala prema Ministarstvu zdravlja predvodio Florijan Filipo iz stranke Patriota.
